Born to Rum Porter Launching Nationwide in time for Easter!
First poured at the Good Beer Week Gala Showcase and a cheeky keg at Modus HQ, we started to get some serious demands to can it and send it nationwide. So we did! Scratching a beer penned for the National Limited Release program and fast tracking Born to Rum. And we’re pretty glad we did, it’s tasting perfect for Easter.
Brewed with 5 types of specialty grains, cocoa, lactose, toasted coconuts and of course rum, this porter is the rum ball that every easter needs!
We’ll be kicking off the long weekend with some launch events in every state with each event giving it’s own unique twist on the festivities:
Mr West, Footscray We’ll have the team giving a bar shout upstairs at 5pm with Wippa Snippa Session Pale and BTR pouring. We’ll then jump in downstairs for a tasting to mark the nationwide launch of the core range in 375ml cans!
Nola, Adelaide We’re stoked to have 5 Modus Taps pouring at Nola, come along from 5pm with a Easter Tinnie Hunt of our new 375ml cans with Team MO shouting some beers plus there will be live music from 8pm with some foo tapping blues going down on the Mezzanine.
Tasmanian Inn Hotel We’re launching in Tassie with a Modus Tap takeover, expect a bar shout, live music and beer garden grills.
The Durham Castle Arms, ACT Part of their Hottest 100 showcase, we’ll have four taps pouring and so Easter Celebrations. Say g’day to our man on the ground as he’ll be doing a bar shout from 5pm.
Carro Bowlo, Newcastle. We’re back at the Bowlo to launch Born To Rum this Saturday, with three taps pouring plus an Easter Egg Hunt with a twist. If you find a plastic Easter egg, you’ll get a 4 pack! Plus there’ll be a kids Easter egg hunt along with Facepainting.
New Brighton Hotel, Manly, Manly’s number one craft beer joint, 33 Degrees at the New Brighton. Take in the views, soak up the atmosphere and taste some delicious Modus beers. Sonic and BTR will be the go!
Blue Gum Hotel, Sydney A gem of a pub with a great tap list, come and grab Born to Rum in time for the long weekend.
The Union Hotel, Newtown We’re excited to be kicking off our Sydney launch in Newtown, come along for Easter Knock Offs. They’ll be launching their new tees and throwing a party so get amongst it.

We’re excited to announce our new beer series - the Brewer’s Series. Keg only Limited Release beers available at MO HQ where each brewer gets to brew the beer of their choice. First up Corey and his beer : Knock Off.
Corey has set the bar high with this beer, with no hot side hop additions instead the hop flavours and aroma are coming from a pre and late ferment. We dry hopped pretty heavily at both stage with El Dorado and Rakan.

The hops compliment the simple grain bill of 80% Gladfield American Ale plus 10% Cara Pils and 10% Oats.
The end result is a super clean beer with clean aromas of sweet lemon and stone fruit.
So when your day is coming to the end and a beer is calling. Make sure you have a Knock Off!
