Fizz Wizard Sour IPA

We’ve kicked off 2020 with a Sour IPA, our first National Limited Release of the decade - Fizz Wizard Sour IPA. Bursting with fruity flavours from a Modus style dry hop, we’ve enjoyed using different techniques and ingredients including Styrian Wolf, Meridian and Cardinal and at 5.6% ABV. Fizz Wizard is the perfect summer beer.

Released in cans and pouring nationwide from 7th February, we’re excited to crack this beer on Friday. Track it down at the following locations.

We’ll be pouring at Modus HQ, Dr Morse Bar Melbourne, Blind Bear and The Royal Albert Hotel Sydney.

Tomorrow is shaping up to be a HOT one! Not only are we counting down the HOTTEST tunes of 2019 - we’ve doubled down and are counting down the Hottest Beers of 2019 as well!

We’ve got our mate Reuben Boughtwood painting LIVE on a surfboard kindly donated by the Onboard Store. We will be raffling the board, and a case of Beached Az with all proceeds being donated to WIRES and Wildlife Victoria. You must be here to win!

Hottest 100 Brews & Tunes

With voting for GABS Hottest 100 Aussie Craft Beers of 2019 officially closed, we set our sights on the celebration!

Saturday the 25th of Jan, we will be hosting an official Hottest 100 Party, counting down hot tunes and sinking cold beers.

Wear your best (or worst) party shirt to go in the running for best dressed on the day. There will be giveaways and a little somethin’ somethin’ each time a Modus beer joins the countdown.

Gates open from Midday, and we’ve got a few activities throughout the day. Come and join us to celebrate Australian Craft Beer!

Beers for Bushfires

January 10, 2020

It’s an exceptional time in Australia with Bush fires burning all around us and with the air quality often the worst in the world. We start 2020 with the biggest environmental crisis to ever hit this country.

We held a donation drive the first Friday of 2020 and were overwhelmed with the support that we received from our community. Welcoming new faces and familiar faces that have supported Modus over the last five years. We managed to donate $15,000 towards the Australian Red Cross and NSW Rural Fire Services. Which is all thanks to the generous people that came and supported and continue to support.

The brewing community have since launched a campaign #beersforbushfires, we urge you to use your dollars to support this initiative and help where we can. We will continue to raise funds, with donations going towards Wires Animal Rescue. Our tip jar and donations at the bar are great with events around Australia raising valuable funds with our partners.

We will be holding a raffle next Wednesday (15th Jan) during our Trivia to raise more funds, with merch and beer items up for grabs.

Thank you again for your support, we will continue to do what we can.
